Beginner's Guide
Are you new to howrse? Them here is a howrse guide for beginners.
1. Starting off
When you start off and register, it is best to choose a Female Horse or pony for a number of reasons. (I will explain them later on)
In the second stage of registering, there are arrows next to your foal. These arrows allow you to flick through to see what the various backgrounds are. Choose wisely, as these can only be chosen once, otherwise you will need to use passes.
Once you have registered, it takes you to the 'care zone' of your new foal. Some quests will appear near the top of your screen. Whatever you do, do not skip the quests. They give you lots of BMIs for your horse and give you lots of starting money. Once you exit them, you can't get them back.

- Once your foal is 6 months old, them Ow will say that they need to be enrolled in an Equestrian Centre. It is essential that you choose one with carrots, as these are needed for the Foal Games. Once yout foal is boarded in an EC, they stay there for 3 real time days, that's 72 hours. You cannot cancel your stay until the time is up.
- You can play with your foal, until the age of 6 months. Follow Dr Zig's foal games here. The Foal Games look very complicated, but to get a bonus of 60 skill points is worth it.
- When you age your horse to 1 year 6 months, they can start doing rides. Always take your horse on rides daily, to help build up their skills.
- And finally, when your horse gets to 3 years, you can pick their speciality (Classic riding or Western Riding). It's up to you to decide!
